The Hearthstone Heritage 8023 soapstone wood stove is exactly what you need for heating a mid sized home without compromising on style, or quality. With a superior heat output, a large firebox, the elegant beauty of natural soapstone, and soapstone facing on the side door, the Heritage 8023 will keep your family warm throughout the winter. On a full load of wood, this stove will burn up to 8 hours, and provide up to 12 hours of continual heat.
This stunning stove, the Heritage 8023, is in the Hearthstone Select Collection of soapstove stoves. Hearthstone has also incorporated into this beauty the benefits of advanced wood burning technology (without the cost and maintenance of a catalytic converter) to produce large amounts of heat and be clean burning.
Features:
- 2.3 cubic foot firebox; extra wide door
- Side-loading door - Allows logs up to 21" in length to be accommodated side-to-side for easy loading.
- Single air-intake lever/stove control - Stove operation is easy; performance more consistent
- Reversible flue collar
- For top or rear exit
- Ash pan for easy ash cleaning
- Unmatched fire viewing - Air entering the firebox through the stove’s secondary air tubes ignites the gases rising off the burning wood. The resulting light and flames provide dazzling fire viewing, even when the fire is burning at a low rate.
- Non-catalytic combustion system - Clean burning, more complete combustion provides more heat from less wood, greater efficiency; reduced smoke and creosote build-up.
- Outside air adapter (optional) - Improved efficiency in today’s newer "airtight" homes; reduces cold air drafts along the floor.
Color Finishes:
Matte Black
Brown Enamel
Seafoam Enamel
Black Enamel
Soapstone Finish - Polished Gray
About Soapstone Stoves:
The firebox of a soapstone stove is actually constructed of stone - soapstone holds and radiates heat but also has the benefit of being able to withstand direct flames indefinitely. The stove’s top, back and sides are made of thick pieces of stone forming the interior and exterior wall of the stove.
The heat quality of stone is more even and comfortable than steel, cast iron or refractory bricks and the surface temperature is safer in that it does not get as hot.
In addition, natural patterns in soapstone are beautiful and that beauty transfers to the attractive uniqueness of each stove and high temperatures only deepens the stone’s rich color.
Soapstone stoves crafted by Hearthstone use a combination of materials maximizing the benefits of each to deliver warmth plus beauty.
